The off-road terrain near Ford Performance Racing School offers a diversity of challenges and is perfectly suited to showcase the high-performance capabilities of Raptor.—Henry Ford III, Ford PerformanceWith 2017 Raptors starting to climb into customer driveways, the new owners are going to have a lot of performance truck on their hands. With great power comes great responsibility. Thankfully those owners of Ford Performance’s off-road alpha predator will receive a free one-day driving school, dubbed the Raptor Assault, taught by the experts at the Ford Performance Driving School.
“The all-new F-150 Raptor was designed to be the ultimate, no-compromise off-road pickup with its cutting edge internal bypass suspension, six-mode Terrain Management System and 450 horsepower EcoBoost engine with massive amounts of torque,” Henry Ford III, Ford Performance marketing manager, said. “The off-road terrain near Ford Performance Racing School offers a diversity of challenges and is perfectly suited to showcase the high-performance capabilities of Raptor. The Ford Performance owner programs that have come before are a strong indication that this experience will be outstanding—a big hit with Raptor owners.”
If you aren’t familiar with the Raptor Assault, a similar program was offered to owners of the last-gen Raptor. Ford Performance typically includes this complimentary driver training to owners of its vehicles from Fiesta STs to Shelby GT350s.
Of course, the Raptor offers a unique set of capabilities, so its school will train owners how to drive through desert terrain, crawl over rocks, climb the side of hills, descend inclines and run all out across the desert. All the while, they will learn how to best make use of the truck’s six terrain modes.

Our instructors can help anyone take their driving expertise to the next level—whether the person is a beginner or an experienced off-roader.”
While the school is complimentary to 2017 Raptor owners, those of you who qualify will have to pay your own travel and lodging costs to get to the Utah Motorsports Campus. But, hey, they do throw in breakfast and lunch along with the great driving school. You can also opt to bring a guest and pay to spend a second day learning more driving techniques in the school Mustangs.
In our experience, the latter option is a must, so check out the schedule for dates where that option is available. For more on how to register for the 2017 Raptor Assault, check out the official web site here.
