TwinTorinoYou don’t have to be a Torino fan to really dig the TwinTorino website. The site is dedicated to a very unique project, or rather two projects. The Canadians behind the endeavor, Jeremy Keller and Craig Wood, are in the process of taking two eBay 1968 Torino GT fastbacks and applying a full “restomod” conversion. Their website very nicely chronicles the progress of the project. The plans call for 99-01 Cobra 4V mod motors and T56 six-speed transmissions to replace the plain Jane 289/C4 combos. The cars will be slammed, with all of the chassis, braking and interior upgrades you’d expect in a restomod. The mock-up sketches look pretty bad-ass and if the cars look like that when done you can bet FordMuscle will feature them. In true FordMuscle spirt, and as the introduction page clearly indicates, this is a real project by two real guys on a budget. Even more respectable, in our opinion, is that these guys are not necessarily Torino freaks, or even Ford fanatics as far as we can tell. They both work on cars for a living, and have been involved in restoring and racing all kinds of makes and models. They wanted to do something unique and memorable, and we really think they hit the mark with this idea. Check out www.twintorino.com
