Mustang Girl Monday: Tamara Cox, Cotton Candy, and A Lead Foot.

It’s Mustang Girl Monday brought to you by Team Mustang Girls. This week we’re hanging out with Tamara Cox. She grew up around race cars and a body shop. From an early age Cox knew her dream car would go really fast!

Cox dreamed of owning a 64 1/2 Mustang.  Then the 2005 body style came out. The look of old, mixed with new was exactly what she wanted, and she knew she had to have one! Cox’s husband surprised her one day and took her car shopping .  “Talk about the greatest day of my life!  Though he wouldn’t allow me to have the GT, due to knowing I have a slight lead foot problem!” says Cox.

She ended up picking the powder blue color, even though she went in expecting to get black.  Everyone thought she was crazy when she started talking about adding pink stripes with skulls! Now that it’s done, Cox gets compliments on a daily basis, and most are from men!  “I think the skulls in the detail is what they love, not the pink.”

Cox named her car Candy, (like cotton candy, since that’s what the pink and blue together remind her of). And Candy is a trouble maker.  In the first year having her  Cox got her license suspended for getting 12 points in 12 months. Oh that lead foot!  Guess her husband was right in steering her away from the GT.   Since then Cox has tried to be good, “I just can’t help it when people wanna race!”
