As one of the longest-running “Outlaw” style races in the country, Holcomb Motorsports‘ Civil Wars events draw in the best of the best to Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, NC, twice a year. There have been numerous record-setting passes and performances there over the years, and Ken and Blake Holcomb go out of their way along with Rockingham’s track staff to put on the very best event they can. Rockingham Dragway’s racing surface is legendary for performance, and even the ADRL schedules two races per year there.

Whether your racing flavor is heads-up-style or you like the technical aspect of racing (or spectating) a class like Open Comp, you’re bound to find something to hold your attention all weekend. Ken and the Holcomb gang have been in the business of providing the Carolinas and points beyond with speed parts and great racing twice a year for two decades now. This year’s Spring event will have seven classes, spread across a wide variety of racing styles, and there will be a bit of something for everyone.

  • Outlaw 10.5
  • X275 Drag Radial
  • Outlaw Pro Mod
  • Pro Tree Doorslammer
  • Footbrake
  • Index
  • Open Comp

Purses are yet to be determined at this time, but the Civil wars events in the past have drawn huge crowds to The Rock, and star racers like Tim Lynch, “Wild” Bill Devine, and Keith Jackson have populated the Outlaw 10.5 field. Well-known racers like Eric McMillion (“Vader”), Bob Kurgan, and Eric Kenward have also been on the premises in X275 in the past. More details will be announced shortly on the Holcomb Motorsports website, so check them out for more information.  In addition to the racing event, you’ll also be able to take part in Holcomb Motorsports’ 20th Anniversary Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday where you can snag free grandstand tickets!
