Back in the 1990s, there was no Shelby GT500 sold at Ford dealerships, and SVT had yet to embrace superchargers. But there was Steeda, a famous Mustang tuner best known for their racing success and suspension modifications. Steeda Mustangs made a lot of memories for some people, and these days the right Steeda Mustang can draw big money.
Over on eBay is a unique 2001 Mustang GT modified by Steeda. With its brash, in-your-face bodykit and plenty of modifications under the hood and in the cabin, this Steeda Mustang would make a nice throwback “weekend” cruiser or track car.
Steeda did a number of modified Mustangs, but the aftermarket Mustang scene wasn’t like today. Beginning under the hood, Steeda upgraded the 4.6 liter V8 engine’s internals, along with larger injectors and a bigger throttle body. A custom tune was also mapped out, along with a new exhaust system for an impressive roar at full throttle.
The suspension also received a major makeover from Steeda thanks to their G-Trac fully-adjustable suspension. But perhaps the interior and bodykit reflect the most amount of change from stock, with a bright, vibrant yellow paint job and a black-and-yellow paint scheme on the interior as well.
This Steeda looks ready for the track, and it already sold for a Buy It Now price of $10,888. That’s a bargain for an authentic Steeda Mustang with this level of modification if you ask us.
