Last week we shared the HOT Rod Power Tour perspective of our friends over at MSD Ignition, but they certainly weren’t the only manufacturer down for the long haul that is the annual pilgrimage of hot rodding and muscle cars.
An event such as the Power Tour wouldn’t be complete without the presence of the legendary Edelbrock Performance Products, and that they were as the tour rolled through six states in seven days. Along for the ride were three of Edelbrock’s own Power Tour vehicles: a 2011 Hendrick Camaro driven by Christi Edelbrock, a 2006 E-Force supercharger-equipped Corvette driven by Vic Edelbrock Jr., and a classic 1967 Chevy Bel Air built by Posies, sporting a 383 crate motor driven by Troy Hooker.
Their involvement didn’t stop with manufacturer support and participation in the trek however. Along the way, Edelbrock raised money for a great cause
by teaming up with fellow Power Tour fans and “long haulers” to raise over $1500 for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation for breast cancer awareness.
Edelbrock has documented their travels from the 2011 HOT ROD Power Tour in their online blog, aptly named the “Edelblog,” for your viewing pleasure as they hammered down from Florida to Michigan and everywhere in between. To check it out, head on over to the Edelblog, and while you’re at it, click over to the Edelbrock and browse their online catalog of parts for all your high performance needs.
