The 15th Annual Carlisle Ford Nationals will honor the Shelby brand with the largest GT500KR car display ever, presented by the Team Shelby Northeast Region. The three-day celebration of everything Ford, Lincoln-Mercury and Euro Ford is running this weekend, in Carlisle, PA.
The Hall of Kings display, which includes both classic and contemporary GT500KR examples, is located in Building G, near Gate 1. In addition, the Shelby American team will show its latest product lineup, including the 2012 Shelby GT350 convertible and coupe, the 800 horsepower GT500 Super Snake and the new-generation Shelby GTS.
“Shelbys from every era will be exhibited at the Carlisle Ford Nationals including the latest Shelby GT350, GT500 Super Snake and GTS,” said John Luft, president of Shelby American. “We encourage the public to stop by our tent and sit behind the wheel of these American Legends.”
The 15th anniversary Ford Nationals provides indoor displays of concept cars, custom Fords and other historically-significant vehicles; test drives by Ford Motor Company; a burnout competition; kids’ activities; industry guests; a car giveaway; NHRA drag racing; autocross for all skill levels and club gatherings.
Adult admission for the weekend (Thursday through Sunday) is $10. Children under eight are admitted free. Gates open at 7:00 a.m. each day.
