Being showcased over in the Centerforce booth and all-new for 2010 is their new twi disc clutch, known as the DYAD, which is a perfect complement to your extreme high horsepower street and strip applications for getting the ponies from the crank to the ground with the utmost in dependability.
The new multi-disc design is a fully dampened system developed for backing high amounts of horsepower, with a floating disc and drive disc combination that provides a smooth and quiet operation, high-end holding capacity, and light pedal effort that leads to smooth engagement, quiet operation, and excellent driver control. The high torque capacity – rated at 1,300 ft-lbs at the flywheel – gives this clutch superb longevity. Finally, the unit is outfitted with top-of-the-line ARP fasteners for added quality throughout.
The DYAD is aimed at the late model domestic performance market, with models available for the later LS-powered F-Bodies and the new Camaro, the GTO’s, 4.6L modular and new 5.0L Ford’s, 6.1L SRT8 Chrysler’s, and several older Chevrolet and Dodge engines.
