There are tens of millions of drivers out there in America who have never known the frustration of starting up a carbureted engine on a cold day. They think that cars have always just fired right up and driven off – no choke, no waiting for the engine to get up to temperature so you can pull away from the curb without killing it. Of course, there are also millions of carbureted Mustangs out there, and a lot of them are wearing Holley carbs of one kind or another. Holley knows that there are plenty of guys who would like the advantages of EFI, with the simplicity of a carburetor, and they’ve created the Avenger EFI 4BBL Throttle Body Fuel Injection System just for them.
Like their carburetors, the Avenger EFI system is available in a range of CFM ratings: 700 with 65 lb/hr injectors (200-400hp), 900 with 75 lb/hr injectors (375-525hp), and 900 with 85 lb/hr injectors (450-600hp). All three are true “bolt on and go” systems that utilize plug-and-play connections and advanced self-tuning capabilities to make it easy to upgrade to EFI. They’ll fit any square flange intake manifold, and come complete with a wiring harness, sensors, and an in-line fuel pump. No laptop is required to set up or tune the Avenger – the included hand-held tuner with OLED full color display offers simple setup and easy tuning of basic parameters. The system allows for computer controlled ignition timing as well, and it has room to grow since it can be upgraded to a Holley HP EFI system if desired.
