In a surprising announcement, Ford Performance driver Vaughn Gittin Jr. shared that he would put a unique twist on the ongoing observance this week. The Formula DRIFT star is yet again turning it up a notch this year with the announcement that he will drift the Nürburgring in his Mustang RTR.

The self-proclaimed Professional Fun-Haver will be the first driver in history to officially drift the entire, 15.2-mile Nürburgring circuit in his 900-plus-horsepower Mustang RTR.
“To help Ford celebrate the Ford Mustang this week, I will become the first person ever to drift the entire Nürburgring from behind the wheel of my Ford Mustang RTR,” Vaughn said. “This has been a longtime dream that is finally coming true, so stay tuned, and we will see you guys soon.”
