It’s no secret that covering the aftermarket performance parts debuting on the redesigned 2018 Ford Mustang was at the top of our list at this year’s SEMA Show. Those companies that have been lucky enough to get their hands on a refreshed pony for this year’s show have pulled out all the stops.
One outfit that was ready to take on the 2018 Mustang redesign once it arrived was Anderson Composites. Located in the heart of Southern California, the company specializes in designing some of the highest quality fiberglass and carbon fiber components available for the late-model domestic enthusiast.
This week, the company debuted a complete line of carbon fiber exterior parts for the 2018 Mustang that combines functionality and stunning good looks. The company has robust history of producing lightweight components for Mustangs like Justin Pawlak’s Formula Drift S550 documented in the video above. Now Anderson is forging ahead with the latest Mustang.
Our own Deanna Parisi caught up with Andy Fritts of Anderson Composites this week to find out what carbon fiber parts will be available once the 2018 Mustang hits the showroom floor this month.
“We specialize in late-model domestics and manufacture carbon fiber and fiberglass pieces for vehicles such as the 2018 Mustang and new Ford Raptor,” Andy said. “As owners begin taking delivery of the new 2018 Mustang, we have been able to manufacture a complete line of carbon fiber products for the new Mustang.”
Although there are many different ways to produce a carbon fiber part, Anderson Composites used a vacuum-infusion process which creates a shiny carbon fiber look and gives your new pony car a showroom-style shine. The company also prides itself on designing carbon fiber pieces that are entirely built out of carbon fiber so when you open the hood or door sill, it completely matches the exterior features.
“One of the unique qualities about Anderson Composites is we manufacture a true performance product,”Andy explained. “We will not make a piece if it doesn’t save weight or if it doesn’t improve a vehicle’s aerodynamics. Our products truly are performance products.”
Many of the Anderson Composites parts for the 2018 Ford Mustang, Focus RS, and F-150 Raptor are now available on its site to order right here.
