An ongoing part of the annual Woodward Dream Cruise, Mustang Alley is the only nameplate-specific get-together held during the weekend. Typically drawing more than 600 Mustangs to the City of Ferndale, MI, the event is organized by unpaid volunteers from Team Mustang.
For more information, or to register for Mustang Alley, visit theĀ event web site.
The Woodward Dream Cruise is billed as “The World’s Largest One Day Car Show” and occurs on the third Saturday of each August. More than one million visitors and up to forty thousand specialty cars descend on the suburbs of Detroit, to cruise Woodward Avenue, or watch while others do. A total of nine cities along a 16-mile stretch of Woodward Avenue participate in the festival and raise money for a number of local charities.
Special activities welcome Mustang owners, both before and on the day of the event. These include goody bags, charity raffle, Bullitt the Horse, Meet and Greet with Team Mustang, as well as a track day on Friday. Rumors are that another “special event” is in the works.
Gates open at 7:00 a.m. and, as before, you can come and go as you wish during the day. This is the best parking deal of the entire Dream Cruise… never mind the other activities.
