A few years ago back in January 2010 at the Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson auction, a particular 2011 Ford Mustang that once paced the Daytona 500 will be auctioned off for a crazy $330,000. All of those proceeds went toward the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

This particular Mustang held some sentimental value, being the first Ford to pace the Daytona 500 since 1970. That was a pretty big deal considering Ford just released the rebirth of the new 5.0.

For one reason or another many replicas of this car have been made but what if you can get your greasy hands on the real deal? Another chance to own the pace car is at the Las Vegas Barrett-Jackson auction (Lot #620.1) It hasn’t even surpassed 1,000 miles yet, with only 920 miles on the odometer.

It comes with a 302 DOHC 4-valve good for 412 hp. It has the California Special package with a glass roof. It features 6-way heated black leather power seats, as well as dual climate control for the picky passengers. If you feel like having navigation, it’s voice activated and comes with a Sync Bluetooth system complete with Satellite HD radio.

The rear has a 3.73 limited slip axle. For stopping power, it features 4-wheel disc brakes along with electronic stability control. Power options consist of locks and windows and it has an already active anti-theft system. This is definitely a rare car and for those big NASCAR Daytona 500 fans, it could make a nice garage centerpiece and sunny weekend cruiser.
