Fargo, North Dakota is famous for two things; the fictional Coen Brothers movie about a series of terrible decisions and murders, and the annual springtime flooding that threatens the city. But Fargo is also home to a small air museum organized and run by a dedicated group of war and civilian aviators. The Fargo Air Museum is not just a display case for historic aircraft, but a restoration and education center as well.
To raise money for a new, larger aircraft hanger, the Fargo Air Museum is holding a raffle, with a grand prize of a 2013 BOSS 302 Mustang. Other prizes include a ride in a World War II era Mustng fighter plane, but the real prize is the taking home the ground-bound pony car.
Just 3,500 tickets are being sold at $50 each, making your odds of winning a lot higher than the lottery ticket at a convenience store. The proceeds from the raffle will benefit the all-new Beck Odegaard Wing of the museum, and the drawing is being held this Saturday. There is no time to waffle about; if you want in, now is the time.
Packing 440 horsepower, a race-tuned suspension, and the legendary BOSS name, 2013 is the last year for the BOSS package. There is no 2014 BOSS model, and it doesn’t seem likely the name will return for the 2015 Mustang either. These cars will one day be highly sought after collectibles, and this is one of your last chances to own a piece of Mustang history.
Even if you only win the second prize, a ride in a P-51 Mustang fighter plane, we can think of far worse ways to spend $50. If you want to buy a ticket, contact the Fargo Air Museum without delay.
