2013 Shelby GT500 Order Guide Hits Web

What more can we say about the 2013 Shelby GT500 that hasn’t already been said? With 650 horsepower and a starting price of around $55,000, it is the new standard for affordable supercars. Of course, $55,000 is just the starting point; tick off a few options, and you could spend close to $70,000 on your 2013 GT500.

How? Well, the order guide for the new 2013 Shelby has hit the web, giving us a look at the new color and performance options that come with this 200 mph muscle car. Mustangs Daily has the complete order guide over on their site.

For 2013, the Shelby GT500 gets four new exterior colors; Deep Impact Blue, Red Candy Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Grabber Blue, and Sterling Gray Metallic. The exterior also gets help from a new quad-exit rear exhaust HID head lamps and LED tail lights, and a new front fascia and splitter. The new 5.8 liter engine has an Overrev capability and launch control to help its sprint down the quarter-mile.

The 2013 Shelby also comes with two new performance packages; the SVT Performance Package, and the SVT Track Package. The Performance Package offers up a Torsen rear-differential, unique polished-aluminum wheels, new front and rear stabilizers and springs, and a unique spoiler with a Gurney flap (ask your grandfather).

The SVT Track Package adds an external engine oil cooler, a transmission cooler, and rear-differential cooler to keep temperatures in check while on the track. That pretty much covers it. What more could Mustang fans ask for?
