Celebrating 50 continuous years and with the all-new 2015 Mustang hyped up for the masses, it’s obvious what car is going to rule SEMA’s showroom floor this year. 3DCarbon Air Design Mustang is an all out build, and with SEMA just around the corner, we can’t wait to get a better look.
Late last week, 3DCarbon released images of its Air Design Mustang, and it looks to have an aggressive stance thanks to a patented body kit and Eibach’s Pro Kit. Other features include 22-inch Forgiato Magliaa-ECL concave 3-piece wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Nero rubber that partially hide Wilwood brakes, red six-piston calipers, and cross-drilled rotors.
The car appears to be super aerodynamic and is rumored to have carbon fiber parts throughout the whole car with an extended front lip and large wing on the rear. Other parts include a new front bumper, side skirts, rear lower diffuser, front fender vents, hood fins, and new front grille.
Now that we know about the exterior of the car, it’s time to talk about power. Under the hood sits a Vortech V-3 Supercharger that is good for 640 hp and 485 lb-ft of torque using between 7.5-8.5 psi.
Inside of the car is Roadwire two-tone leather seats, Sundial window tint, Sparco Racing seatbelt harnesses and an audio system designed by The Source A/V Design Group with Focal Audio out of Torrance, California.
According to AutoWeek, 3DCarbon received their new Mustang way back in July meaning that they had ample time to get the car together and add the wicked paint scheme that mimics the paint of a car that they introduced in 2004 when the S197 debuted. Someone must have pulled some serious strings to get a car that is just now making its way to dealerships around the country, although we have to wonder if they simply got the design specs through the SEMA Technology Transfer program.
If you’re luck enough to be attending the SEMA show this year, you can find this car sitting in Ford’s massive display in Central Hall. Stay tuned for when Ford releases more of what to expect on its dedicated showroom space at this year’s SEMA show.
