The RTR has taken the Mustang world by storm ever since the debut of the all-carbon RTR-C at the 2009 SEMA show, just three short years ago. However, a car that has a price tag of $135k, it wouldn’t be an affordable package to offer to the public. That’s when Vaughn Gittin Jr. teamed up with Classic Design Concepts to make his very own high-performance Mustang package available at authorized Ford dealers.
The RTR dealer-installed package consists of a sweet body kit and graphics package, 19-inch wheels with some performance items by Ford Racing. It also has a turnkey package that is available at select authorized Ford dealerships. The RTR package will also be available in Europe and Saudi Arabia. Also, according to Vaughn Gittin Jr., a Spec 2 Mustang RTR package will be available as well as packages for the new V8 and V6 Mustangs.
If you check out this photo that we brought to you from the Formula D Long Beach race where team Falken debuted the new 2013 Mustangs, you can see that Vaughn is rockin’ the new RTR front lip .
Now that the 2013 Mustang is starting to show up at dealers everywhere, it’s time to reveal the second-generation RTR. Official details have yet to be announced but you can check out these teaser photos that were just released. The RTR package will likely offer a supercharger as an option for this year. Besides a few things here and there, the RTR package hasn’t changed a whole lot for this upcoming year.
What do you think of the new 2013 Mustang RTR?
