I would wager that most of you are familiar with the Airaid line of cold air intakes. The thing that makes the Airaid intakes so popular with some users is that they don’t have to get a tune to use them, but if you want all-out power, they do have a removable ‘no tune’ sleeve. The lack of a tune means that you can install the intake, get a bit more power, and then if you need service you have never had to program the car with a custom tune making it less likely to get your warranty claim denied. Plus they fit great.

The information on the newest product from Airaid is very lean right now, but the company is teasing a new cold air intake for the 2012 Boss 302. We figure this will be one of the intakes that needs no tune since that is sort of Airaid’s thing. The carbon fiber tube looks good and the intake really dresses under the hood up well.
Airaid shows the Boss 302 on the dyno checking power gains, but offers no information on what the gains were. Airaid promises 11hp more with its normal 5.0 intake so odds are the intake for the Boss 302 will see similar gains. It appears that the intake lacks provision for the air induction tube. Check out the short video of the Boss on the dyno below.
