We use our Mustangs for lots of things, from cruising to racing to showing to daily driving. Some people push the envelope a little further and sometimes, on a bad day, they figure out that it was a bit too much. We’ve all seen cars going home from the track on a flatbed and been thankful that it wasn’t us.
For one New Hampshire Mustang owner, pushing the envelope came from towing his sailboat. The owner was going to launch his boat using a ramp in the coastal town of Rye, about 55 miles north of Boston, but instead the boat, trailer and Mustang all slid down the ramp. The car ended up submerged to its gunwhales, er… windows, and had to be pulled out by a tow truck.
Generally slippery conditions may have contributed to the original incident, as a second tow truck eventually had to be called to rescue the first one on the scene. No doubt about it, boating is an expensive hobby.
