Since we live in America, it can be easy to take for granted the ease of access we have to Mustangs of all ages and power levels. Yet other countries, especially our neighbors to the south, have not been so lucky. Importing a Mustang across thousands of miles will cost a pretty penny, and most of the world’s seven billion people will go their whole lives without ever even seeing a Mustang, never mind hearing or driving one.
However, visitors to Beto Carrero World towards the southern tip of Brazil, will have a chance to sit behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang GT among other exotic automobiles and take it for a spin, reports Mustang Evolution.
Beto Carrero, located in the city of Penha in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, is a popular theme park founded in 1991 and seemingly ever expanding. It is divided into several zones, among them the “Radical Adventures” section which features adrenaline-pumping thrill rides. Their latest attraction is called simply “Super Cars,” and for a small fee you can sit behind the wheel and even drive a Porsche Boxster, a Lamborghini Gallardo, and Ferrari F360 Modena. Of course, the privilege of merely riding shotgun in these cars starts at $90, with the cost to drive the Lambo up to 8 kilometers around a track comes close to $700.
The American options are a bit more affordable. A Hummer H3 costs $150 to drive, and the C6 Corvette will set you back $250. The Ford Mustang GT is by far the best bargain though, costing just $150 to drive or $50 to sit shotgun (with up to two friends). Yes, it may sound like a lot to us, but considering how much it would cost to import a Mustang down to Brazil, we think visitors to Beto Carrero will be more than happy to shell out a few bucks for some time behind a real American muscle car.
