It’s time to saddle up for the Boost Bash coming to the NMRA World Finals. Calling all turbocharged Coyote 5.0 liter ponies to the corral, coming October 2nd – 4th, get ready to trailer those horses and head to Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky to throw down on the hot sticky pavement for the Mustang event of the year.
The NMRA World Finals invites you and your S197 turbocharged horse to come out for a whole lot of fun and for a chance at setting some new records. The turbocharged Coyote Shootout class is for the mildly modified to the heavily modified high performance chassis 2005 to 2014 S197 Mustang, which includes both the V6 and GT styled bodies using the Ford modular 5.0 Coyote based engines.
This class, presented by Dasan Holloway, Henchmen Racing, Revolution Automotive, and JPC Racing, showcases some of the fastest turbocharged Coyotes from across the nation going to war for national exposure, cash, prizes and of course bragging rights. We expect to see new records set in the battle of the year on the infamous Beech Bend strip.
Last year Justin Burcham of JPC Racing dropped the first seven-second Coyote 5.0 liter performance from a street car in history. With an all- time low record for a street car he achieved an amazing 7.87 seconds at 174 mph. This record, held by Burcham since 2013 could be challenged at the upcoming event.
Keep in mind this race is not just about who sets the fastest ET overall. There is several opportunities for competitors to set all sorts of records and win titles in the turbocharged 5.0 liter Coyote arena. With chances at titles such as the quickest stick-shift Mustang to the quickest 6R80-equipped horse, there are many opportunities for bragging rights at this event.
We look for this event to not only draw racers from across the nation out, but to possibly bring spectators out in record numbers as well.
