We recently ran a picture of a Mustang with a photoshopped General Lee theme to it. It was a gag for our Group Editor, and like the class clown that he is, he loved it and posted it on Facebook. We all had a laugh, but now we come to a real Mustang that, dare we say, has some photoshopped pics and some questionable company. We want to warn you ahead of time, just so you will know that the setting isn’t real.
We don’t want to be too gun shy about posting a photoshopped Mustang, but we did have some rather disgruntled readers who were highly offended at “Mustang Lee”. Be that as it may, we still feel it’s important to you, our readers, to show you interesting cars when we find them.
Scouring the web for news items to bring you, we came across this pretty clean 1970 Mustang Mach 1 on the Albuquerque, NM, Craigslist. It’s listed as a hi-performance muscle car, with a heavy duty transmission and the obligatory “must see to appreciate” lure included with the ad. Many don’t care for the hole in the hood and a tunnel ram, but it’s a nice looking Mustang, and according to the seller it should get up and go.
We're not sure why the dinosaur pics, or why the reverse image is used on the country road pic.
Despite the seemingly gas soaked rag on the linkage, that tunnel rammed dual quad looks pretty cool. Even though the dinosaurs are a little too prehistoric for this classic muscle car, it does look like a lot of fun to drive. We’re not sure if the $37,000 is realistic, there are no time slips or dyno results listed, and it looks like a second Accel coil in the lower part of the engine shot, so like nearly any classic car – plan on working on it a little.
