With a doubt one of the biggest hits from the 2012, and 2013 SEMA show was Creations ‘N’ Chrome’s Top Notch Mustang. This do-it-all overachiever of a Fox-body that was designed to power down the drag strip and through canyons with equal gusto, dreamed up by co-owner of Creations ‘N’ Chrome, Gary Watson.
But all good things must come to an end, and Watson is putting Top Notch up for sale, offering one lucky buyer the opportunity to own one of the best-built Mustangs in recent memory. Watson has opened the door to offers, so let’s rehash what Top Notch has to offer.
With a custom double-adjustable cantilever-style front suspension from JME Enterprises, Top Notch is meant to power into and out of tight corners as well as any real race car. The supercharged Aluminator 5.0 V8 engine has been pushed farther back beyond the factory firewall to achieve near-perfect weight distribution for the best handling possible. A lot of thought went into this car, and a lot of power comes out of it.
The aforementioned Vortech supercharged 5.0 is good for some 850 horsepower, making Top Notch among the most powerful street going Fox-body Mustangs on the planet. Equally at home on a road course or the drag strip thanks to wide Toyo Proxes rubber, this Mustang creation will hopefully go to an owner ready to flex its racetrack capabilities to the max.
