The Ford Mustang has been a canvas for car customizers across the world to express themselves on ever since it first left Ford’s factories. With the proliferation of the Mustang in America, it means people of all different backgrounds can get their hands on a Mustang and apply whatever wild or whacky design they want to it. The only limit is your skill, or your wallet
Jalopnik found this hideous custom Mustang posted with a for sale sign. Yes, it really is a Mustang, and no, we don’t know what look the creative mind behind it was going for.
With a front-flippinghood that seems to get almost all of its design influence from Lotus, the front end is entirely indistinguishable as a Mustang. The custom, all-steel fabrication couldn’t have been cheap, and the seller estimates the value of his uniquely-designed 2007 Mustang GT at somewhere in the $75,000 region. The actual asking pricing, however, is either $32,500 or $42,500, depending on which ad you look at.
Speaking of looks, the middle of this unique Mustang is definitely, well, a Mustang, despite the Ferrari-like side scoop and lines added to it. There’s just no hiding that quarter window. But the back end is the worst of all, with vertical taillights ostensibly borrowed from a late-80s Cadillac mixed with a hideous spoiler that deserves nothing but contempt. It ends up looking like the result of a bad collision between an Elise, Testarossa, Deville, and Mustang, where the body shop was handed parts for all and said to rebuild them into one car.
This thing is almost as bad as those Chinese built cars that the constructors try to pass as a Mustang. Please don’t do this to your Mustang.
