Sometimes we need a little perspective in life; an adventure that sends you somewhere and brings you back with a new sense of self. If you’re a fan of cars, nothing would be better than taking the wheel of your dream car and galloping across the country.

That’s what one guy is doing – historian Bruce Gamble and his ’67 Stang convertible. The steed was named “Sweet Chariot” which is also the name of the bomber his dad flew during World War II. This whole thing is also a tribute to Jack Kerouac who set off on a 6,000 mile journey that took months to complete. Bruce will retrace the long trek of Kerouac while promoting his new book, Swashbucklers and Black Sheep, along the way.

Living his book, Bruce will experience everything first hand while navigating the country in his classic ‘Stang. One thing you should know about Bruce is that he’s a paralyzed veteran as well as a cancer survivor. He’s been through some experiences in life already giving him a different perspective, knowing first-hand how life can throw those unexpected curve balls.

He will publish many articles in magazines and one of his latest works mentioned above, the book Swashbucklers and Black Sheep, will be released on September 15th of this year. He’s no stranger to writing either as he has produced five nonfiction books on World War II. Not only that but he has been in a six documentaries as a featured historian on different networks such as the History Channel, PBS, and Fox News.
