The ’13 Mustangs are starting to appear at local drag strips everywhere, even the higher performance models such as the Boss 302 and the Shelby GT500 are making appearances. Although both are definitely packing some serious heat, they are street legal and not really a “hardcore” race car. We know they are both amazing Mustangs but they are still the street legal version.
However, if you’re looking for a ridiculously decked out race car, then maybe you should consider a ’13 Boss 302-Spec race ready Mustang with the Boss 302R 5.0, built and campaigned by Rehagen Racing. It’s on eBay for a “Buy It” now price of $89k.
Be warned that this particular car is not a street legal one, but more of the track-ready variety. It may be serialized but it’s a full on ready-to-roll race car. As it is already, it is qualified to race in many Grand-Am classes, SCCA and NASA road racing. According to the seller, the car will come in Grand Am CTSCC specification with 2013 Bodywork.
It has Ford’s Coyote 5.0 mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Not only that but it also has racing dampers and springs, a roll cage, racing seat, safety harness, and let’s not forget the high-output engine that is sealed and includes an upgraded cooling system. All of that among other things. Of course it rocks the big Brembo brakes for some good stopping power.
