There’s a lot of buzz circulating around the brand new Boss 302’s lap times at the track. But let’s not forget where it all started, the classic Boss 302. That’s a classic that is bound to turn some heads whether cruisin’ on sunny weekends or with the hood propped up at a car show. We came across one awesome Boss on Sports Car Digest.
This Grabber Green gem is for sale on eBay and it’s a lot of car. The heart of the beast is powered by a canted-valve, hand built, 5.0-Liter connected to a four speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. Not only that, but it also has headers and an aggressive cam with 3.91 gears, complete with Traction-Lok.
The seller says that this is no rust bucket and that all of the sheet metal is original. The high-quality paint job is new along with some new Larry Shinoda-designed Boss stripes that make this thing incredibly mint. The paint is basecoat/clearcoat and buffed to shine after the color sanding. The stainless steel bumpers have been polished and the door handles and mirrors are brand new.
Parts of the car are just like new like the black rear window slats, decklid wing, and chin spoiler. However, this Boss 302 is lacking the shaker hood. It was optional in 1970. Although this bad boy doesn’t have a shaker, it’s not lacking anything in the horsepower department.
The exterior is immaculate without any panel gaps and a flawless Grabber Green paint job. It sports old-school muscle with the 15-inch chrome Magnum 500 wheels. Who needs a radio when you have the sound of the small block V8 at high RPM’s, right? The buy now price is set at $88,990. Check out the rest of the listing here on eBay.
