According to the original ad, this particular R-Code Galaxie came from a private collection, and has only clocked 1,500 miles since undergoing a full restoration. While the asking price is about on par with what we’ve seen these cars auction for, it is a bit on the lower side (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing!). Without a doubt, it’s definitely one of the least expensive R-Code variants of any Blue Oval car to get into.
Surely it isn’t as light as an R-Code Fairlane, but with more than 425 horsepower and a pair of Holley four-barrel carburetors, there’s no doubting this heavy lead-sled will rocket down the quarter-mile.
