Spring is just around the corner, yet many states are still stuck in the middle of a deep freeze after a harsh winter dumped several feet of snow on top of them. As performance car enthusiasts, snow puts a real damper on our plans to peel out and burn rubber. Most of us push our cars into the garage for three or four months and wait for winter to go away. However, there are other ways to stay entertained during the wintery months.
Mustang Evolution came across this story of a father and son who, being the Mustang enthusiasts that they are, built a life-sized pony car…out of snow.
We’ve seen men made out of snow, and even entire homes. But a muscle car? That’s got to be a first. 16-year old Tom Murphy, from Manteno Illinois, was recently faced with the conundrum of what to do with all the snow that was piling up in his parents’ yard. Even though Tom is barely old enough to drive, he dedicated 16 hard hours to carving this Mustang out of the fluffy white stuff, making a full-size replica of America’s favorite muscle car.
Even Tom’s father got in on the act. Together, father and son devoted over 20 hours to making the snow marvel, complete with an interior, seats, hood scoop, and tires. While we’re not sure we’d want to rock a convertible in the middle of winter, Tom and his father have a lot of creativity stored up. It’s a pretty damn good looking Mustang if we don’t say so, but do you think you could do better then this teen and his dad?
