December 5th is the big day, when Ford finally reveals the all-new, 2015 Mustang to the world. But the Mustang’s birthday is still almost six months off, with April 14th being the big day when the celebration really kicks off. Ford is planning a massive birthday bash for the Mustang, which goes global with this latest generation, and the Blue Oval has laid out some specifics so Mustang fans across the nation can start to make their plans.
Beginning on April 16th and running through April 20th, the Ford Motor Company will join with The Mustang Club of America to throw simultaneous twin birthday bashes, one in Las Vegas and the other in North Carolina. Mustang fans, mark your calendar, because the big day is almost here.
The celebrations will take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway, which Ford decided would allow the maximum number of Mustang enthusiasts to join in the party. Among the many features on display will be a Mustang from each of the past 50 years, along with an up-close look of the all-new 2015 Mustang.
Though the celebration kicks off on the 16th, the 17th is recognized as the official birthday of the Mustang, and Ford has some fun (as well as cheesy) activities planned. The birthday celebration will include cake and singing, as well as track time and hot laps in the latest and greatest Mustangs on hand. Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too.
The rest of the celebration will involve parades, track time, car displays, and plenty of vendors and exhibitors on hand to make the Mustang celebration an event to remember. This is literally a once-in-a-lifetime event, and most of us probably won’t be around for the 100th anniversary of the Mustang. So if you can, get the time off now, this is going to be one birthday party you don’t wanna miss.
