Ford Fiesta Is The Best Selling Car in Europe

“March was a stand-out month for Ford in Europe, with sales increases across the board.”

With all this talk of the exciting new advancements to the upcoming 2018 Ford Fiesta lineup next year, it’s nice to see that sales of Ford’s current-generation Fiesta are still doing well across the pond. According to Ford analysis of March 2017 industry data, the Ford Fiesta was the best-selling car in Europe.

“Fiesta was again our best-selling vehicle in March, making up 12 percent of Ford total vehicle sales,” Roelant de Waard, Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford of Europe, said.“Customers continue to the car by Fiesta’s distinctive style, powerful but fuel-efficient engines and class-leading fun to drive character.”

The Vignale, Titanium, and ST-Line, are some of the most popular Ford Fiesta models in the European lineup.

The Ford Fiesta has been a best-seller in the UK for eight straight years with nearly 70 percent of Fiesta buyers in March opting for the premium trim packages, which includes the popular Titanium series. Ford sold 199,900 vehicles in Europe in March (up 14 percent year-over-year), including 156,200 passenger vehicles (up 16 percent year-over-year). The increase in sales makes Ford the second best-selling car brand in Europe.

That success sets the stage for a strong run by the 2018 Ford Fiesta, which is expected to go on sale in Europe this summer and will offer four different versions including the popular Fiesta Titanium and the Ford Performance variant, the Fiesta ST.
