Before the 2015 Mustang was officially revealed, it seemed like every day dragged by while we waited with baited breath. Since the December reveal though, weeks and months have flown past, and now we’re counting down the days until the twin 50th birthday celebrations kick off for the Ford Mustang. With events planned for both the east and west coasts, Ford is pulling out all the stops for this once-in-a-lifetime event.
But the celebration goes beyond Charlotte Motor Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Ford fans and Mustang owners are planning events in 16 different countries, making this birthday party a global event.
In the past, Ford hasn’t offered the Mustang outside of North America, save for a few notable exceptions. But that hasn’t stopped the entire continent of Europe from deciding the Mustang is the most desirable classic car they can think of, and the celebration extends beyond the Old World. Groups in New Zealand, Australia, and South America will all be partying from April 16th to the 20th in celebration of the Mustang.
The countries being represented at the celebration will include:
- United States of America
- Canada
- Mexico
- Brazil
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Denmark
- Sweden
- Norway
- Germany
- French
- Belgium
- Switzerland
- Holland
- Italy
- United Kingdom
We’re sure each celebration will come with its own cultural flavor, and we can’t wait to see what these foreign fans of America’s favorite pony car do to celebrate. The language of burnouts and revving engines is universal.
