The Ford Mustang Customizer is easily one of the best “Build Your Own” automotive tools on the Internet. Not only can you build and price your own 2013 Mustang in any color with just about any option, but Ford has an entire sub-section of its website devoted to a bevy of custom parts available through your Ford dealer. You can waste a lot of time playing on the Mustang customizer.

The new Mustang Customizer takes features introduced last fall where Ford let you “battle” with friends via social media platforms like Facebook. The actual voting came down to a popularity contest, and now Ford wants to give you a chance to win that popularity contest…and a brand new 2013 Mustang along with it. Four lucky winners will have a chance to win a Mustang they build on the customizer.

Actually, it is four separate contests, with the first one kicking off this week. The long and the short of it, each competitor has to build and share their idealized Mustang…and then a whole bunch more. There are multiple rounds of voting, and not only do you have still “battle” against other competitors, but you have to share, share, share to get as many points as you can.

And the more points you get, the better chance you’ll have of winning not just some humdrum V6 Mustang, but even a GT, Boss, or Shelby GT500. Ford will even do its best to put together the exact Mustang you design…but are your social media skills up to par?
