The rebirth of the Boss 302 Mustang is a monumental occasion, the resurrection of a classic that will be commemorated for decades to come. The importance of this reissuing of the Boss Mustang has not been lost, and the Blue Oval has been working to come up with some very special ways to commemorate what is, for most of us, a once-in-a-lifetime event.
Reserved just for 2012 Boss 302 owners, Ford is offering anybody who bought a Boss a chance to also buy one-of-two personalized prints along with a fake chassis tag including the owners name and VIN number. Pretty cool stuff eh?
You have a choice of either getting a Laguna Seca Edition Mustang with the ghost of Parnelli Jones’ Mustang in the background, or a personalized portrait featuring whatever color scheme you happened to choose. Each of these prints (which go for $499 a piece) are hand signed by the famous Parnelli Jones, who took home the 1970 Trans Am title in his Boss 302 Mustang. While the prints certainly are costly, only owners of a 2012 Boss 302 Mustang can purchase them (you’re required to enter your car’s VIN number on the order form.)
We won’t lie, we’re a little miffed that Ford is only offering these prints to those with wallets deep enough to afford the real deal, though we’re sure a few of these prints will make their way onto eBay sooner rather than later. As a consolation prize, Ford is offering everybody else up to 30% off of other Boss-related prints and posters for the next week. So you can still get your Boss grove on, even if you can’t own a Parnelli Jones-autographed Boss print.
