Just a few more days until the greatest car show in the world. We are referring of course to SEMA 2011, which you must know by now is happening next week in Las Vegas, Nevada. We’ve already covered numerous Ford offerings, including a batch Fiesta and Focus compacts and just a few of the many Mustangs we expect in attendance.
For our final SEMA preview of the week, we bring you the custom Explorers and Ford pickups that the Blue Oval will be bringing to Sin City next week. Without any further ado…
2011 Ford Explorer by Stitchcraft Interiors
First up is the 2011 Explorer by Sitchcraft Interiors, which will be building a “Business Edition” of the explorer. This is double speak for “expensive premium everything,” like the Alcantara leather interior, Orion sound system, and folding trays that turn the Explorer into a mobile work station. Not flashy, but not bad either.
2011 Ford Explorer by DSO Eyewear
Inspired by an active urban lifestyle, the DSO Eyewear Explorer is all about style. With deep-dish 24-inch wheels, a lowered suspension, and suggestive paint job, the exterior is all about looks. On the inside, Katzkin leather helps create a plush environment to enjoy while the plebeians look on with envy.
2011 Ford Explorer by Tjin Edition
Neil Tjin is a true industry professional, and we already teased his upcoming orange Mustang. His Mustang will be rocking tamer colors, along with a sport suspension from Eibach and a Baer brake kit to help improve stopping power. Expect black custom leather seats with orange diamond stiching on the inside, because that’s whats up.
2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty by Superlift Suspensions
Now we get to the big boys, starting with the F-350 Super Duty by Superlift suspensions. Superlift teamed up with Matchbox to provide a 10-inch lift and 41-inch tires to this already-huge pickup. It’s purpose; to fight fires in hard-to-get-to wilderness areas. A noble purpose too…and who doesn’t like a good orange monster truck?
2011 Ford F-150 EcoBoost by Skyjacker Suspensions
Also known as “Project No Compromise,” this EcoBoost F-150 is green, without sacrificing performance. A four-inch Skyjacker lift helps raise it above the competition, and an exhaust upgrade gives the EcoBoost engine a few more horsepower to play with.
2011 Ford F-150 by CGS Performance Products
Unlike the first two jacked pickups, the “Tarmac” F-150 is about style and comfort, for the discerning truck enthusiast. From the red Pecca leather and headrest monitors to the custom chrome wheels, this is an attention grabber to be sure. And for good measure, there’s a Whipple supercharger under the hood.
2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty by Hulst Customs
We’re gonna end on a low note…literally, with the F-350 “Black Mamba” by Hulst Customs. Unlike other pickups, this black bad boy has been slammed to the ground, features suicide doors, and has huge chrome rims because it’s freakin’ SEMA, that’s why.
