Horsepower is a universal language, and if there is any European country comparable in its lust for horsepower, it has to be ze Germans. Why ze Germans? Besides being the country that gave the world luxury performance sedans and incredible cars like the Porsche 911, Germany has a serious lust for American muscle cars. So even though companies like Ford don’t actively import cars like the Mustang, a healthy “grey market” means that anybody with enough money can get their hands on a muscle car.
Auto Evolution reports that German tuning firm Reifen Koch has taken a 2005 Ford Mustang and customized the hell out of it, using the classic “Eleanor” Mustang for inspiration.
Eleanor is, of course, the accursed Mustang from the car theft movie Gone In 60 Seconds. This custom Mustang, called KONQUISTADOR, wears a Cervini bodykit that costs around 8,000 Euros. The bodykit also adds side-mounted exhaust pipes (just like Eleanor), as well as coil-overs with electronically-controlled Hydraulic Lift System that can adjust the ‘Stang’s height on the fly.
The 4.6 liter V8 engine has been modified to make approximately 414 horsepower, about 100 horsepower over stock. That’s why ze Germans added a set of nice-looking Brembo brakes to improve stopping power. The most interesting feature to us though are the rear taillights, which look a lot like the blacked-out LED’s on the 2013 model. Coincidence? We think not…
You tell us, did the Germans do a good job? Or does this Mustang look too “Europeanized” For your taste?
