The Jet’s head coach, Rex Ryan, has had a stressful season with the strain of the NFL football season and the hype over the Jet’s quarterbacks, Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow.
Mr. Rex Ryan supposedly ran a stoplight in his red Ford Mustang causing a three car pile-up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Sadly, only one picture has surfaced and it’s not of Ryan’s Mustang, but of a little beat up Mazda Miata that was one of three vehicles involved. While it is said that no injuries were reported, the whole thing was Ryan’s fault. All vehicles involved in the accident were said to have “moderate” damage.
While Ryan denied speed as an option, he did admit to running the light, or trying to beat the light. While not much of an excuse, the local cops did say that the hill crest creates a bit of a blind spot. No matter the deal, Ryan probably should have stopped at the red light.
There has been some debate over Twitter by the Bethlehem Police Department whether Ryan received any sort of citation or warning. They say that he did receive a written warning, but the investigation is ongoing. The police officer that was investigating the incident was injured later on and hasn’t returned to work yet, and they say there has been a misunderstanding.
Some wonder if Rex Ryan was planning a meeting with a Philadelphia Eagle’s former offensive coordinator, Marty Mornhinweg, who is taking that same position for the Jets.
If only we had pictures of the moderate damage on the Mustang. It’s not like he can’t go grab another.
