There are certain things in life that will always come first above anything else, and family is clearly one of those. The guys at Juggernaut Power firmly believe in this statement, which is why the company has stepped up to the plate in the case of Howard Budd and his recent medical diagnosis.

The company has recruited an amazing amount of sponsors who have come on board to support Howard and his family, and the response has been one of resounding generosity.

For more than 27 years, Howard has been employed at Juggernaut Power/Bowen’s Garage as the collective’s Parts Manager. As an active member of his town church, Howard has dedicated much of his time outside of work giving back to his local community while being a father to three children, and a husband to his wife Jackie Budd. But it wasn’t until recently that Howard learned he had been diagnosed with a rare form of intestinal cancer.

“He has been unable to eat or function normally for several weeks now,” Rey Rivera, owner of Juggernaut Power, said. “Howard recently had surgery where doctors had attempted to remove the cancer, but it had spread too much at that point. Since then, his incision has healed, and he has recently started chemo. His second session is this week, but things are rough as of now.”

Rivera explained to us that no one should deserve this, especially Howard. Rivera said, “He’s one of the most selfless men I have ever known. Howard would do anything he could to help anyone. He was never the type to do anything that would negatively his health and he also never drank or smoked.”

Juggernaut Power is always building something unique at their Eastford, Connecticut shop location.

The company will continue to show their support for Howard and his family by hosting a fundraiser raffle, where all proceeds will be donated to benefit them.

Rivera said, “We are just blown away by the support from our friends at all of these companies. When we approached our industry partners, our sponsors were more than happy to help out; and we couldn’t have asked for more.”

Rivera is of course referencing to the raffle prize, which is a complete ’11-’14 S197 Mustang GT/Boss 302 makeover. Companies like Borla Exhaust, Baer Brakes, MGW Shifters, Team Z Motorsports, and Vortech Superchargers (just to name a few) have come aboard to help support Howard and his family in their time of need by providing components for the fundraiser raffle.

The entire makeover is valued at nearly $6,000 and includes more than a dozen parts to turn any V8-powered S197 Mustang into an absolute beast. Rivera and his team at Juggernaut Power have made it clear that they are grateful for their sponsor’s support, a message that resonates with enthusiasts as well.

Rivera has stated that there will be a benefit dinner for the fundraiser, though tickets are unfortunately sold out. Enthusiasts still have the opportunity to make a difference for Howard and his family by making a donation to the company’s GoFundMe page, or by purchasing a raffle ticket here to enter the Mustang Prize Package Makeover.
