Meet Frankenstein, a spooky rolling dark horse that loves to trick or treat. From the creative and artistic talents of Darrell Walden, a tattoo artist by trade, he couldn’t help but use his 2013 Mustang GT as a canvas to display his unique personality.
Walden who resides in Indianapolis, Indiana, wanted to design a toxic recipe that would not only display his uniqueness, but would also stand out from the everyday pony crowd at the local shows and cruise-ins. Something that would garner attention and generate conversation was the goal.
Walden acquired the main ingredient for this sick creation, his Gotta Have it Green, Mustang six months ago. Upon purchase he quickly went to work in the laboratory to breathe new life into the car now dubbed Frankenstein. During Frankenstein’s time in the Walden lab, performance was top on the list. A BOSS 302 intake manifold was dropped on along with a JLT cold air intake, a Moroso coolant can and waking up the 5.0 powerplant the calibration was upddated with a John Lund tune.
Moving to the interior and spicing up the Frankenstein recipe with a dash of toxicity, Walden installed new leather seating, carbon fiber trim and LED’s throughout the cabin. Finishing off the Frankenstein exterior stance, Walden added a CDC grille, a ROUSH lower grill, an OEM fog light relocation kit, a ROUSH hood scoop and front splitters on front, sides, and rear, along with a GT500 rear spoiler.
With Frankenstein beginning to show signs of life, a dash of swag was added to the Frankenstein presence with the addition of black vinyl stripping, lambo doors, along with Lorenzo rims. Upon resurrection Frankenstein finally came to life with an angry soundtrack supported by UPR off road-pipe backed by a ROUSH axle back.
Since Frankenstein’s reintroduction into the world this rolling beast has not only quickly amassed attention but is gaining a local following in the Indianapolis Mustang scene as well.
