King Ford To Be Crowned at McLeod Racing NMRA Ford Super Nationals

King Ford Car with TFS ImageAt most drag events the heads-up racers get all the attention, while bracket racers are hustled through to warm up the track and keep the action going. Many bracket racers feel like they play second fiddle to the heads-up crowd, but at the NMRA Ford Super Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, bracket racers are part of a special event just for them.

King Ford, sponsored by Trick Flow Specialties, will be crowned at the event. King Ford is, “a full-scale battle royale between the bracket race champions revealed during the event…each in search of the coveted King Ford title,” according to the NMRA.

The class winners from Fast Ford, Quick Ford, Street Ford, and Nostalgia Ford race on Sunday afternoon to decide the King, or Queen, since there are several women that compete in bracket racing, as well. The winner of the battle royale will then be adorned with a crown, cape, and sceptor, and drenched in champagne. Then he/she will be carried to he winner’s circle by mere peasants where they’ll be presented with a $1,000 product certificate from Trick Flow Specialties.

But wait, there’s more. King Ford will receive a personalized, reserved parking spot in a prominent location at Summit Motorsports Park for the next season. Plus, King Ford will be featured in the NMRA’s Race Pages, the official publication of the NMRA series.

The NMRA Ford Super Nationals takes place next weekend, June 11th – 14th, and is one of the larger events on the NMRA tour with several races within the race, including the King Ford battle. See you there.
