Some days it can be easy to complain about how hard we have it, how much our job sucks, and how life in general is no fun. But there are real people out there with real problems, including kids who have been battling life-threatening diseases since birth. Luckily, there are organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation that help bring some happiness into the lives of these embattled children.
Fox 5 Vegas recently reported on the story of 17-year-old Vanessa, a Las Vegas teenager suffering from a heart ailment who had just one wish; to have her 1967 Mustang restored and drivable. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is helping to make that happen, with some help from local shop VegasStang. But they could use our help.
Vanessa showed up to buy her Mustang in a wheelchair, knowing full well that it was more project car than daily driver. But she bought it, named it Stella, and then reached out looking for help restoring the classic Mustang. VegasStangs and the Make-A-Wish Foundation responded, and so far over two months of love and labor have gone into the car.
However, the Mustang still needs about $8,000 worth of parts and labor put into it before its road ready. It’s for a truly noble cause, helping a sick teenager fulfill her dream of owning a classic, restored Mustang. We’re sure the guys at VegasStang would be happy to get any help they can in finishing this car up for a lifelong Mustang fan.
