Police officers across our country have a very serious job, and hardly a moment of any day goes by when their lives aren’t at risk. But one of the trade offs for all that risk is a sense of authority and power. You are the law, the first and last line of defense between civilized society and the malcontents. Becoming an officers of the law ain’t easy though, and some people just can’t cut it. But that didn’t stop one young Alabama man from pursuing his dreams of being a cop, officially sanctioned or not.
Impersonating a cop is against the law in Alabama though, as David Keith Tindell found out the hard way when Alabama State Troopers pulled him over reports Fox 10 News.
There have been reports coming out of Alabama now for several months that a young man in a silver Mustang has been pulling people over, despite not actually being a police officer. Still, given that silver is a very popular color, it would be almost impossible to pick this Mustang out of the crowd. However, one sharp-eyed state trooper noticed the police lights in the back window of Tindell’s Mustang while cruising alongside him on the highway.
After pulling the silver Mustang over, the state trooper noticed a number of other police-only pieces of equipment, including handcuffs, a handgun, front light bars, and even a computer. This led our fake police officer to being arrested for real, and he is currently facing numerous charges…though we will give our wannabe-cop credit for choosing a Mustang as his faux-pursuit vehicle. At least he has good taste in cars, if not good judgement.
