There are a great many reasons to buy a new car, especially a car like the Ford Mustang. Burnouts are one good reason. Raw horsepower another. And of course, what red-blooded American male doesn’t want to do some showing off in front of his friends? After all, just about everybody can appreciate the unbridled muscle of a Mustang, doubly so when said Mustang is the new BOSS 302.
Unfortunately for one new BOSS Mustang owner, he took the hooning – and drinking – a little too far. Menomomee Falls Patch reports that resident Perry Palm hopped behind the wheel of his new BOSS Mustang after seven to ten beers, and well, you can probably guess where this is going.
Mr. Palms was enjoying a Sunday cookout with friends when him and a buddy went for a ride. Prior to this, Mr. Palms had allegedly had between seven and ten beers, so we can already tell you this sounds like a recipe for disaster. After taking the BOSS 302 Mustang up to 70 mph, Mr. Palms lost control, skidding over a curb and crashing into a parked Jeep Cherokee, injuring his friend and doing some serious damage to his brand new BOSS.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any pictures of the aftermath of the accident, just this imageless story. But it’s a hard lesson to learn about drinking and driving, and hopefully the BOSS wasn’t beyond repair…they’re only making a few of those, y’know.
