With the sixth-generation 2015 Mustang rockin’ a global platform for the first time ever, it was only a matter of time before the right-hand-drive Mustang made an appearance. This will be the first time in Mustang history that a right-hand-drive 2015 Mustang will roll off the assembly line to be exported out to the United Kingdom, Australia, and South Africa, which are among 25 right-hand-drive markets worldwide.

The construction of the RHD Mustang has been completed by Mustang engineers, and it only makes sense for the finished prototype to be utilized in various tests to develop everything necessary to send this car out to the other side of the world within coming months.

Of course, the Ford Mustang is most popular in the United States born straight out of Flat Rock, but the demand is there for the America’s popular pony car. Since it first made its debut at New York’s World Fair in 1964, more than 9.2 million sales have been made from then until today. Over 161,000 Mustangs have been sold outside of North America in the past fifty years, and just in 2012, 4,000 Mustangs were sent off to 35 outside countries including United Arab Emirates, Chile, and the Philippines.

With those numbers, 100 fan clubs have been created for the Ford Mustangs across the world. Recently, the Mustang was voted as “Europe’s Most Wanted Classic Car” by AutoScout24 by over 75,000 users. Once the right-hand-drive 2015 Mustang makes its official debut overseas, enthusiasts will get to experience the pony up close and personal. The new 2015 Mustang will be available this fall to its home country of the United States, as well as 120 countries around the world.
