Mustang enthusiasts attending this weekend’s Woodward Dream Cruise will be able to catch up on all the latest products from Ford, including the just-announced 2010 Mustang Boss 302. Nine Mile Road, in Ferndale, MI, will be the scene of more Mustang fun than you can have in a single day anywhere else.
One one side of Woodward Avenue, the Ford exhibit will showcase all of Ford’s new models for 2011, including the Boss 302 and the Laguna Seca version. To demonstrate the heritage behind the BOSS name, Ford employees will be bringing up to ten original BOSS Mustangs for display.
“We’re celebrating our entire Mustang lineup with this display,” said Fritz Wilke, Mustang brand manager. “We are letting enthusiasts get up close to learn about and experience our newest Mustangs and see the heritage of Mustangs at the same time.”
On the other side of Woodward Avenue, you’ll find Mustang Alley – a long-running show put together by volunteer Ford employees. Almost six hundred Mustangs of every year and kind are expected to attend. If you’re looking to see a rare Mustang, there’s bound to be plenty of them at Mustang Alley.
Other points of interest in the Ferndale exhibit will include a full displays from Ford Racing, ROUSH Performance and Shelby Automobiles, an on-the-spot Mustang upgrade center – Mustang Garage, run by Ed Schmid Ford – and Ford’s monster truck, Blue Thunder, with an appearance by driver Linsey Weenk. There are also two stages with live classic rock ’n’ roll entertainment, food courts and a play zone for kids.
