We’ve often wondered what car shows and car meets are like in other parts of the world. However, thanks to the modern technology that has been made accessible to virtually everyone, we no longer have to ponder what happens on the other side of the pond.
With online resources like forums, Facebook, and Instagram – we can view every picture and every video memory captured from the confines of our homes, or even on-the-go via a mobile device. It’s a crazy world we live in nowadays.
Individuals like Fabrizio Schenardi can sometimes be our eyes at events we aren’t able to attend as well – like the first annual European Pony Wars which took place in Milan, Italy. Schenardi originally hatched the idea after a conversation with the late president of the Mustang Club of Italy, Filippo Mirabella. After some well needed food and beer, the duo arranged for five additional Mustang clubs scattered across the European region to officially sanction the new meet.
The newly discovered car meet brought with it the opportunity to share the passion for Mustangs with other enthusiasts, including attention and support from Ford of Italy. With over 80 vehicles attending the two day event, the meet was definitely a success in the eyes of the enthusiasts who attended. The last day of the event brought the most attention, however – with hours upon hours of open road racing on a famous Italian circuit raceway. Non sixth-gen owners also had the opportunity to drive one of three ’15 Mustangs available, for as long as they wanted.
It’s always a pleasure to hear from our friends from across the pond – especially when they’re Mustang enthusiasts themselves. Check out Ford Racing’s post on this awesome event for more images from the European Pony Wars courtesy of MustangMania.it
