For serious Ford racers looking to build a serious competitor on the race track, the Blue Oval has offered bare-bones bodies-in-white for the past few years. But that leaves a lot of parts for these racers to source, depending on the level of competition they are entering, which led many racers towards sourcing a second-hand V6 car, to save time and money.

But Ford Racing wants to give these racers another option, which is why now through June 1st, Ford is selling a limited number of serialized 2013 Mustang Competition Kits.

More than a body-in-white, the Mustang Competition Kit is serialized for collectibility, and is clean of sound deadener to save weight. The Competition Kit also comes with an engine cradle and front control arms, and steering knuckles, parts lacking on the body-in-white. The Competition Kit also comes with all the body plugs, which Ford says you will thank them for later.

The competition kit also comes with head lights and tail lights, as well as all the glass and weatherstripping you’d expect in a car. A full dashboard with gauge cluster is included along with the interior trim for the A/B/C pillars, window motors, doors and door handles, headliner, steering column, the hood and decklid. Basically, it’s a Mustang minus the seats, drive train, and suspension. which really gives you a blank slate upon which to build your own car. The cost of entry is $11,995, and all orders must be placed by June 1st.
