New Take Off Adds a Host of 2010+ Mustang Parts

The S197 Mustang is probably one of the most modifiable and modified cars that ever came out of the Ford organization. The number of aftermarket parts available is huge and there are special editions of the car available from a wide variety of sources. So, did you ever wonder what the different shops do with the parts they take off the factory cars?

Typically these parts are bought up by companies that store and resell them to individual owners like you and me. The folks over at NewTakeoff.com are a good example. Since the parts really didn’t cost the original shop anything, they are often sold for very little money. Those savings get passed along, so the bargains can be amazing.

All of the parts come off the cars with minimal mileage on them, but there can be a few miles there, so the parts cannot be sold as new.

Here’s an example. The company has a 2010+ Mustang GT Front Appearance Package that includes the front bumper cover, GT grille and fog lamps. The package sells for less than $400, plus shipping, and you can request a specific factory color.

Whether you’re looking to upgrade the look of your V6 Mustang or have to deal with collision damage, that’s a lot of parts for not much money. Getting a new, painted front fascia through a collision repair center is going to flatten your wallet by at least twice that price and, more likely, three times. If you just need the bumper cover alone, you can order these (V6 or GT) for $199. The body shop will charge you way more than that just to paint a new one!

Now, if those scuffs and scrapes on the bumper comes from close quarters action on lapping days, perhaps you’ll want to consider their 2011 Track Pack Wheel and Tire package. These are the optional 19-inch rims from the Track Pack or Brembo Brake option packages. Shod with 255/40ZR19 Pzero Nero high performance tires, the $1,599 price is a whole lot less than springing for an all-new set of wheels and tires for the track.

NewTakeoff.com has other wheel and tire sets from $999, so if you’re looking for a change, this can be an easy and inexpensive way to get it. There’s lots more over on their web site, but some things are in limited supply. Parts for the 2005-2009 cars are getting scarce, but there’s some good deals as well.
