However after some spirited bidding, Jack Fairchild acquired the coveted final unit of the 50 Years Limited Edition Mustang.

Ford Motor Company, a large contributor to numerous charities, will donate proceeds from the sale to Get your Heart Racing, a charitable and fundraising event that supports Henry Ford System’s Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute. An amazing organization that is committed to improving the health and well-being of individuals from across our great nation.

Through the combined efforts of Barrett-Jackson and Ford Motor Company together they have raised more than $6 million for various charities. “It’s a privilege to benefit from the auction of such a spectacular automobile,” said Sandy Hudson, chief development officer, Henry Ford Hospital. “Henry Ford Hospital and its Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute are grateful for our ongoing relationship with both Ford and Barrett-Jackson that has allowed us to raise incredible amounts of funding for the Get Your Heart Racing program.”

The 50 Years Limited Edition S550, comes equipped with a special performance package and added interior and exterior features. Based on the 6th installment of the iconic pony car, the 50 Years Limited Edition is designed to provide the owner with next level of the Mustang driving experience.
