A lot of Mustangs are built to support charity, and this new Roush Stage 3 Mustang is no exception. This one-off Mustang was built by two of the best in the industry, Ford Racing and of course, Roush Performance.

This Mustang was auctioned off at the SAE Foundation’s 25th anniversary celebration with the final bid locking in at $100,000 and proceeds benefiting the SAE Foundation’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education programs. However, that’s a bargin compared to some of the Mustangs that have been auctioned off recently. The Galpin Auto Sports SPX wide-body Mustang raised $160k for St. Jude’s children hospital after being nicely displayed at SEMA last year. The Blue Angel’s Mustang raised $400k at EAA AirVenture and the 2012 School Bus Yellow Boss 302 brought in a healthy $300k for the Henry Ford Hospital last year as well.

“The evening was a testament to the industry-wide support for our STEM education programs,” said Matt Miller, director of the SAE Foundation and pre-professional programs. “The support from companies like Ford, Roush and the dozens of others who are committed to improving the industry’s competitiveness will help us offer our programs to even more students in the future.”

On top of a custom silver paint job with red and blue graphics, this Roush Stage 3 Mustang features custom SVT GT500 track pack wheels, a Roush tuned suspension, Roush custom body details and a fully custom Roush interior. Lift the hood on this beast and a Aluminator long block is mated with a Roush TVS2300 supercharger system putting down 625 hp and 540 lb-ft torque.
